NEW POLICY Regarding Hip Hop Shoes (7+)

To all PDD Hip Hop Students & Parents:
After a recent staff meeting, we have decided to have a certain protocol regarding the use of the studio hip hop shoes….

The hip hop shoes are to be worn for PRACTICES AND PERFORMANCES ONLY.  What is happening is that the dirt and excess dust are making our expensive flooring very slippery, which is also causing problems for other classes such as ballet and jazz.  The dirt and dust make the floors slippery, and may lead to possible serious injuries for other dancers.  PDD shoes MUST NOT be worn at any time outside of the studio. Please DO NOT have the children walk inside PDD with their shoes on.

This is the protocol that we want all students 7+ to follow:

Entering the studio:
  1. Enter the studio with street shoes/slippers on.
  2. Enter class with PDD hip hop shoes in hand.
  3. Put on their PDD shoes while attendance is being taken.
After class:
  1. Take their PDD shoes off at the end of class (most likely in the back of the class while the other class is walking in)
  2. Put their street shoes on before exiting the room or in the lobby area.
Please respect the policies and protocol of our beloved studio.  We want to provide all the students with the best facilities and be able to maintain all that's been given to us for a long period of time.  Thank you all.

Mr. Erick
PDD Hip Hop Director/Instructor

NEW POLICY Regarding Hip Hop Shoes (6 & Under)

This is the protocol that we want all students 6 & Under to follow:

Entering the studio:
  1. Enter the studio with street shoes/slippers on.  (Bring an extra pair along with the PDD shoes)
  2. Parents will then help their child with putting their shoes on in the lobby area.  If no parent is available, the student will have his/her shoes ready for the mentor/teacher to assist as soon as they enter class.
After class:
  1. Students will take their shoes off at the end of class while they are getting their stickers/stamps.  Mentors and Teacher will assist them.
Please respect the policies and protocol of our beloved studio.  We want to provide all the students with the best facilities and be able to maintain all that's been given to us for a long period of time.  Thank you all.
