We are in the process of updating and creating our new schedule for the session that will start in July. Please disregard any class information that may be showing on your account during this time for the July session as your schedule may show an incorrect class while we update our online schedule.
Once we complete the schedule and teachers notify families of class time/day changes, promotions, etc., we will send a class confirmation schedule and ask at that time for an errors to be sent to us. Until then, please do not email about the new schedule as we realize that there may be errors while we are updating it.
The Open Session that we have on Sundays for Breakdancing and Choreography are now closed until July. This time is being utilized for concert rehearsals.
Hello Ages 7 and Up Dance Families,
Exam week is scheduled to begin next week Friday May 1st through Thursday May 7th during your child's normal class time. Plan to attend class during these dates. If your child happens to be absent during exam week, teachers will base grades off of previous classes. Beginning this year, no exams will be given to ages 6 and under classes. Exams are for ages 7 and up only.
Exam week is a time for the teachers to assess a student's skill level which will aid in determining promotions. Skills will be graded with a minus, check or plus sign. (Minus = Developing, Check = Average and Plus = Exceeds). Teachers will grade skills immediately and the report card will be sent home with your child so please look for a slip of paper after their dance classes during exam week.
You will be notified of any promotions sometime during the end of May. If you are contacted by the teacher or director for promotions, please respond to them by Monday June 1st and let them know which class you would like to register for since we offer certain levels on different days of the week. We have also opened new age groups so please note possible changes in class days and times.

Hi PDD Families,
Enrollment for Musical Theatre has reopened following a successful performance of Legally Blonde! Ensemble classes (ages 7+) are held on Saturday from 2-3:30pm. A free trial can be scheduled on Saturday April 25, May 2, or June 6th. If you are interested in scheduling a free trial, please call our front desk during studio hours and one of our admins will be happy to assist you!
Hi PDD Families,
Thank you for your continued effort to abide by new parking guidelines to not park in the EMS and Arcadia lots. Please remember that both businesses will tow any unauthorized vehicles parked in their lots. Please be cautious of children and their families when driving into our PDD parking area to drop off/pick-up students. Refrain from using the handicap stall as a drop off area for your students as a courtesy to those who have a pass to park there.
For the safety of your children, we do not recommend students leaving our site without parental supervision. Once leaving our studio, we are not liable for students. Parents should pick up their children on time and not more than 15 minutes after class has ended.
If you find street parking, please be cautious of oncoming traffic and to use crosswalks while crossing the street to avoid a jaywalking citation. For more safety, consider using a flashlight at night if you have to cross the street and escort your students while crossing the street for their safety.

Hi PDD Families,
If you are not performing for the June dance show, "That's A Wrap," as listed in our policies, non-performers will be dropped from classes for the month June. This is so that non-performers are not coming to classes that are going to be solely dedicated to show prep.
The last day for non-performers to attend class will be May 31st. You will not be charged for the month of June and your spot in classes will be held as you will be automatically re-enrolled in the new session that starts in July. If your student receives a promotion, teachers will notify you and make appropriate adjustments to your schedule for July.
If you wish discontinue enrollment for July, please notify us via email no later than June 15th so that your account can be adjusted before the July billing statement is posted.
We are pleased to announce the Tanioka's Fundraiser to help with the additional fees incurred for upcoming concerts, dance competitions, or dance trips. This is not mandatory and families can choose to participate if they would like to.
So, how does this fundraiser work? Tickets will be sold in increments of 10, which means you can request 10, 20, 30, etc. You purchase tickets at a wholesale price of $4 each and sell them for $7. You keep the profit! Also, $1 per pack of 10 tickets will be charged for printing costs and state tax (4.712%) will be applied.
10 tickets x ($4+$1+1.93) = 42.93
Gross Profit if all 10 are sold at $7 each = $70.00
Net Profit = $27.07
Tickets can be redeemed at Taniokas for ONE of the following:
- 2 pc Fried, Garlic, or Mochiko Chicken
- 1 lb Lomi Salmon
- 2 bags Soybeans
- 2 bags Boiled Peanuts
- 3 Frozen Ahi Patties
- ¾ lb Picked Ogo, Kim Chee Ogo, or Ogo Salad
- 2 packages Gourmet Cookies
- 1 Fundraiser Snack Back
From now thru May 1st, login to your PDD account and visit our store to order your tickets or stop by the front desk. Tickets are sold in packs of 10. Payment is due at time of order.
Tickets will be available for pick up at PDD May 15th-24th. We will not be accepting returns on any unsold tickets so please just request what you know you can sell. We will also not have extra tickets on hand so please be sure to order if you are interested!
Redemption at Taniokas from June 3rd-17th. Due to new policies at Tanioka's, they will not be able to honor tickets that have passed their redemption dates so please be sure that you redeem tickets by June 17th.
We are sorry to announce that due to scheduling conflicts Mr. Jonathan Reyn will no longer be choreographing for our musical theatre program. However, he will still be sharing his awesome talents with us as a substitute and resource for musical theatre.
Fortunately, we have found a new and perfect fit for the position! We would very much like to introduce to you Erick Mijares, Hip Hop Director and our new choreographer! His debut with us will be This Fall! We greatly appreciate your patience and support during this change and look forward to a strong and effective theatrical team!
Erick has trained under the tutelage of Hawaii B-Boy legend, Skill Roy, in the forms of popping, locking, and breaking. His inspirations include: Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake and the Jabbawockeez. He is a fan of all performing arts, and believes in the quote, "Feel first, think second."
